Last year we arranged several events to celebrate and commemorate our building that has served the people and village of Oakdale.
Message from Pastor David
The Chapel was opened in 1914 as a Primitive Methodist Church and although closed in 1982 was soon re-opened as a Pentecostal Church as the Woodfieldside Assembly and moved to Oakdale. The last 100 years has seen some historic events and amazing advancements in science and technology. I wonder what our forefathers of 1914 would think of our digital technological age. Theirs was a world of no TV’s, computers, telephones and very few cars. Through all these changes for good or bad the good news of Jesus remains unchanged. It is still as relevant and effective as it was 100 years ago. People’s need of a Saviour and God’s provision never alters. We as a church pray that we will continue with our mission to know the Lord and show the Lord in our community.
